Second semester Freshman English will continue the major objectives of the first semester; viz., writing, reading, and discussion skills. Students will again be able to choose a `student-led discussion` format for their presentations in teams of two; a more challenging choice of tasks awaits those students (in teams of three) who wish to expand their second-language abilities. These higher-level opportunities include panel discussion and debate formats for presentation. As with the first semester, three essays and one class presentation are required of all students.
